Being a female Republican working in politics, this lyric does NOT offend me. Most female Republicans would most likely resort to being insulted after hearing this particular lyric by G.O.O.D Music rapper Big Sean, but I’m flattered. I don’t even like Sarah Palin, son.
“White girls politicking that’s that Sarah Palin …” All I do, all day, err day, I stay on my grind in this politics game and when I listen to hip-hop and rap and the stories that come from it, I can’t help but compare and relate the two types of careers.
So instead of being your a-typical Republican female pissed off at hip-hop rappers, I’m celebrating and congratulating at Big Sean’s lyric. Oh, and if you wanna sit there and tell me I’m being an apologetic conservative, go to hell. If I were an apologetic conservative Republican, do you think I’d be posting this as a pro-war conservative Republican? Do you think I’d be posting this knowing very well there is double-standard when it comes to this whole Trayvon Martin “tragedy”? Do you think I’d be posting this if I thought Jay-Z’s remix to MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK was an awful, politically un-correct anthem of pure garbage? (Don’t get me wrong, I love Jay-Z). So if you want to sit there and judge me over this rant, than you can just STFU and go listen to some hip-hop. Ya’ll got me goin’. I do apologize for this ramped pro-longed rant that, though … I’m just sayin’ what’s one my mind …
